A UCLA-funded program that offers a series of workshops throughout the quarter.  These workshops will help undocumented students start thinking about and acting on their future after UCLA. We hold extra workshops aimed towards transfer undocu-students to facilitate their transition into UCLA.

  • “Path 1:” get more familiar with the UCLA system → how to navigate it as an undocumented student, inform on hidden curriculum, adapting to the quarter system, available resources and scholarships, working while in college, etc.

  • “Path 2:” work with Juniors, Seniors, and beyond on how to make the best out of your last years in college to prepare for life after graduation. This includes: research opportunities and grants, professional skills, resume and CV building, applying to graduate or professional school, working with or without DACA, networking, etc.

Providing Access To Higher Success for Undocumented Students (PATHS for US)

A Retention Program for and by Undocumented Students. The program was created thanks to the advocacy of undocumented students, who realized the low retention rates and the unique needs that our community has. The goal of U-SPARC is to reach out to the hundreds of undocumented students on campus through a triple themed approach:

  • Intersectionality, Holistic Well-being, and Life After College.

Three peer counselors will provide different kinds of assistance (academic and personal) to students. With their life and college experience, these student counselors will help you make the best out of your years at UCLA.
U-SPARC aims to create a stronger undocumented community on campus through walk-in appointments with counselors, weekly activities, and quarterly events.
